Our art studio teacher, Morah Lindsey, brought pumpkins into the studio to see if the children had any ideas of how to use the pumpkins creatively. She cut open the pumpkins with the children and explored what they look like on the inside. After the pumpkins were hollowed out the children painted them. Once they were painted one of our 3-year-old teachers Morah Orit thought they could be put together to create a unique Chanukkia. This idea was posed to the children, and they loved it! One of the children suggested that they make fire. Morah Lindsey grabbed her ipad and showed the children pictures of fire. They talked about the colors and shapes of the fire. One of the children said, “The fire has zig zags!” and another child said, “The fire is twisting!” The children then created fire out of a variety of materials to light their Chanukkia. לאחר שרוקנו את הדלועים מתוכנם, הילדים צבעו אותם. המורה אורית המלמדת את גילאי 3 ,הציעה להפוך אותם לחנוכייה מיוחדת והילדים מאוד אהבו את הרעיון. אחד הילדים הציע לחתוך את הדלעת בצורת אש. לינדסי המורה הראתה להם תמונות של להבות והם דברו על הצבעים של הלהבות וצורתן. אחד הילדים אמר:"ללהבות האש צורת זיג זג" וילד אחד אמר שהאש מתנועעת. לאחר מכן יצרו הילדים להבות אש ממבחר חומרים בכדי לקשט ולהאיר את החנוכייה שלהם
