2 While reading the book “Augustus and His Smile” we learned about a tiger that lost his smile. He looked in many places, and finally found his smile when he looked at his reflection in a puddle after the rain. We decided to explore reflection and the power of a smile. The children told us what makes them smile, and we all agreed that smiling makes us and the people around us feel better. כשקראנו את הסיפור:"חיוך של נסיך", הכרנו את הנמר שאיבד את חיוכו וחיפש אותו במקומות שונים. לבסוף הוא מצא את חיוכו בהשתקפות שלו בשלולית שנוצרה לאחר הגשם. החלטנו לחקור את ההשתקפות ואת כוחו של החיוך הילדים סיפרו לנו מה גורם להם לחייך והסכמנו שהחיוך גורם לנו ולאנשים סביבנו להרגיש יותר טוב.

3 We told the children that we couldn't create a puddle in the class (that is where Augustus found his reflection) and asked what else we could use to see our reflection. The children came up with many interesting ideas, and one of them was glass. We, took the mirrors outside, and explored different reflections in nature. סיפרנו לילדים שלא נוכל ליצור שלולית בגן(שם ראה הנמר את ההשתקפות שלו)ושאלנו היכן עוד אפשר לראות את ההשתקפות שלנו. הילדים העלו רעיונות שונים ואחד מהם היה הזכוכית והמראה. יצאנו החוצה עם המראות וחיפשנו השתקפויות מעניינות עם מראות מסוגים שונים בטבע
