The Partnership tree in ECP- Austin עץ השותפות באוסטין Sent by:Dalia Zisman, The ECP’s Curriculum Coordinator
We danced around the tree and sang Tu B'Shevat songs. In Austin we wanted to have a partnership tree which will remind us of the wonderful friendship and friends we have in Israel. One of our mothers bought for us a huge pot and a miniature Lime tree. On Tu B'Shevat day we gathered our children for a Tu B'Shevat celebration with our music teacher ms. Carol. We could not plant the tree in the ground but the children helped putting the potting soil in the big pot. Even the little Toddlers' classes participated. We danced around the tree and sang Tu B'Shevat songs. Later the children decorated the huge pot and made it beautiful. We talked about Israel and our partnership schools there and we made a sign to put on the pot: " We love Israel” The Classes are taking turns and giving our tree plenty of water to drink everyday. May our tree and our friendship with Israel will last for a very long time. אנו באוסטין רצינו שיהיה לנו "עץ השותפות" שיזכיר לנו את הידידות הנפלאה והחברים שיש לנו בישראל.אחת האמהות שלנו הביאה כד ענק ועץ לימון מיניאטורי. בט"ו בשבט התאספנו כולנו לחגוג את החג עם המורה למוסיקה שלנו, הגברת קרול.לא יכולנו לטעת עץ באדמה בחוץ אך הילדים עזרו בהכנסת האדמה לעציץ . אפילו התינוקות הקטנים השתתפו בפעילות. רקדנו סביב העץ ושרנו שירי ט"ו בשבט. לאחר מכן הילדים קישטו את העציץ והוא הפך ליפיפה! דברנו על ישראל ועל הגנים התאומים שלנו בישראל והכנו שלט בכדי לתלות על הכד: "אנחנו אוהבים את ישראל"
